Sacred Heart College celebrated its 43rd Graduation day, on Saturday, 9th of March, 2019 in the Don Bosco Indoor Stadium. The celebrations commenced with the academic procession of the dignitaries, the Chief Guest Dr.R. Kannan, I.A.S (Retd), Former Additional Chief Secretary, the Secretary of the college, Rev. Dr. C. Antonyraj, the Principal of the College, Rev. Dr.D.  Maria Antonyraj, the Controller of Examinations, Rev. Dr. Praveen Peter, the Vice Principals Dr. S. R. Xavier Rajarathinam, (Academics shift I), Rev. Dr. Theophil Anand, (Administration Shift II), and Mrs. A. Josephine Sagayamala (Academics Shift II), and the Heads of various departments were ushered into the venue of the function and the dignitaries adorned the dais. Rev. Fr. Secretary initiated the ceremony with the Tamizh Thai Vazhthu and the Principal welcomed all the dignitaries, invitees, parents, faculty and graduates. The Principal, Rev. Dr. D. Maria Antony Raj introduced the Chief Guest and presented the report and achievements of the college through multimedia presentation.

The Chief Guest in his presidential address congratulated the graduates. He recalled several happy instances of the college and insisted that the education system should not be based on the marks scored by the student rather it should be marked by Innovation and importance to be given to Employment as well as Entrepreneurship training. He insisted that there should be 360 degree development of knowledge. He pointed out that learning is a continuous process by the hard work and dedication of teachers in shaping the graduates as responsible   citizens of the country. Sacred Heart College is also maintaining high standards in education and moulding the young graduates for the society. He was happy to see Sacred Heart College giving importance to high quality research and publications in a rural background.

             The Secretary Rev. Dr. C. Antonyraj, declared open the 43rd graduation day of Sacred Heart College. The Principal invited the Heads to present the candidates for various degrees. Then every head of the department called out the names of the graduates of their respective departments and were awarded with the degree certificates by the Chief Guest. Toppers were presented gold medals. Students took a pledge to maintain the dignity and decorum of their degrees.

In this ceremony, 1335 students from various departments received their degrees. The Principal dissolved the proceedings of the 43rd Graduation Day.  The function ended with the national anthem.
