Sacred Heart College celebrated its 45^th Graduation Day (Batch-1) on Thursday the 21^st of October, 2021, in the Kamarajar Arangam. The celebrations commenced with the academic procession of the Chief Guest, Dr. Sethu Kumanan, Chairman, Sethu Bhaskara Group of Institutions, Philanthropist and Educationist, Chennai, Rev. Dr. John Alex, the Secretary of the college, Rev. Dr. D. Maria Antony Raj, the Principal of the College, Rev. Dr. Praveen Peter, the Controller of Examinations and the Heads of various departments. The dignitaries adorned the dais and after the Thamizh Thai Vazhthu, the Principal welcomed all the dignitaries, invitees, faculty and the graduates. The achievements of the college were showcased through multimedia presentation.

The chief guest in his address congratulated the graduates on their successful completion of their courses and reminded them that, only when they are able to get a job, the degree is valuable. Further, he was nostalgic about how he began his career, doing odd jobs and he paid tribute to all those who helped him to shape his life. He advised the students not to hesitate in doing the meanest job. The chief guest as a gesture of gratitude donated an amount of Rs.10 Lakhs to the management.

The management of Sacred Heart College honoured the chief guest with the “Award of Excellence” for his contribution to education and for green initiatives. Students took the pledge of a new graduate to the live up to their education.

In this ceremony, 924 students from Shift- I received their degrees. The principal dissolved the proceedings of the 45^th Graduation Day. The ceremony ended with the National Anthem.
