Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Tirupattur celebrated its 71^th Annual Sports Meet on 26th March, 2022 in a grand manner. Rev. Dr. John Alexander, Secretary & Rector, Rev. Dr. K . A .Maria Arokiaraj, Additional Principal, Rev. Dr. Praveen Peter, Vice-Principal & COE, Vice Principals, Deans, Faculty Members, Administrative Staff and Students of both Shift I & II graced the occasion. The chief guest of the day was Mrs. Sangeetha Venkatesan, Chairperson, Tirupattur Municipality, Tirupattur. The dignitaries were received and given guard of honour by the college NCC cadets. The college choir invoked the blessings of God with a prayer song. Rev. Dr. K . A .Maria Arokiaraj, Additional Principal, welcomed the chief guest and the august gathering. The national flag was hoisted by the chief guest. The sports men of Sacred Heart College carried the Olympic torch and ignited the Olympic stand. The sports meet was declared open by the chief guest. The leaders of the sports team took oath before the dignitaries. The chief guest in her address glorified the 71 years of service rendered by Sacred Heart College in imparting education to the youth of this region. Sports events were conducted for students, teaching staff and non-teaching staff. The vote of thanks was proposed by Dr.A. Bento Devaraj, Physical Director, Sacred Heart College. Certificates and Trophies were given to the winners of various events by the chief guest. The overall championship was bagged by the Department of Economics (Shift I) and the Department of History (Shift II) respectively. The programme concluded with national anthem.
