The PG and Research Department of Physics (Shift II), Sacred Heart College, Tirupattur organized the International Webinar titled “Advance Materials for Energy, Environmental and Biomedical Applications” between 26th & 27th April, 2022. Mr.C.Tirupathy, Head, UG, Department of Physics (Shift-II) welcomed the gathering. The inaugural address was delivered by Rev. Dr .K .A. Maria Arokiaraj SDB, Additional Principal (Shift II). The guest of honour for the inaugural function was Dr. P. Sagayaraj, Director, Data Centre, Former Head & Associate Professor of Physics, Loyola College (Autonomous), Chennai. The resource person Dr. R. Vijay Solomon, Department of Chemistry, Madras Christian College, Chennai explained about the Computational Designing of Advanced Materials for Future and Quantum Metaphor. During the second session the resource person Dr. M. Jeevan Kumar Ready, Research Professor, Department of Polymer Science and Engineering, Korea National University for Transportation, Republic of Korea elaborated on “2D MXenes for Energy Storage Applications in Super Capacitors”. He spoke about the Synthesis and role of MXenes in super capacitors and the types and mechanism of Super capacitors.

On the second day, during the first session the resource person was Dr. S. Shanmuga Sundari, Department of Physics, PSGR Krishnammal College for Women, Coimbatore. She highlighted on “Lead Free Relaxer Ferroelectric Materials under Water Communication”. She spoke about the relaxer ferroelectrics, non- linear properties and growth and characterization of Lead free NBT-BT single crystals. She interacted with the topic based Influence of ND on Structural, Optical and Dielectirc properties of NBT-BT Single Crystal. The second session was addressed by Dr. A. Raja, Post-Doctoral Fellow, Department of Chemistry, College of Natural Sciences, Yeungnam University, Gyeongsan, Republic of Korea. He explained about “Solar-driven ZnIn 2S4/rGO/SnS2 Photocatalyst for hydrogen generation and environmental pollutant elimination” He highlighted the problem of fossil fuels and Greenhouse gas. The webinar was convened and coordinated by Dr.S.John Sundaram and Dr. P. Kannappan respectively.
