The Department of Chemistry (Shift I) organized an Invited Lecture on Industrial Safety on 10th, October, 2022. The resource person for the event was Mr. G. M. Srinivasan, Petrochemical Technologist, Managing Director, Galileovasan Pvt Ltd, Nagapattinam. In his lecture he elaborated on the vast career opportunities in the field of chemistry for undergraduate and postgraduate students and the lecture included careers in the field of petrochemicals, paints and pharma. The petrochemical industry offers jobs at the offshore, onshore plants and refinery. Paint industry includes industries producing water based, automobile paints, ship, aerospace, wood and powder paints. Dr.S.R. Xavier Rajarathinam, Head, Department of Chemistry (Shift I), Dr. Arokia Napoleon Raj, Head (UG), Department of Chemistry (Shift II), Dr. Collins Arun Prakash, Head (PG), Department of Chemistry (Shift II), the faculty members and students of the department graced the occasion.
