Event Details

Dear staff, students, alumni and parents,

With a fresh year ahead, we look forward with hope and enthusiasm. With God’s loving presence and guidance, we can explore new avenues and opportunities to become what God wants us to be. This walk of faith and prosperity calls for hard work, passion and commitment in our daily rhythm of teaching and learning, creating knowledge and research outputs, and improving the living standards of our families, villages and society. When all these efforts are immersed in prayer, discernment and openness to God and others, we create a world of happiness for everyone.

Contemplating on what really contributes to a meaningful life, in the 10th century BCE, Solomon, the wise king of Israel, encouraged us to enjoy the simple things of life like food, drink, clothes, friends and family which are gifts of God. But he also reminded that for lasting happiness, we should “love God,” “obey his commandments” and contribute to the world through “diligent and meaningful work.”(Ecclesiastes 9:7-9; 12:13).

As members of the Sacred Heart College family, what should be our priorities in the coming years? Can we all work together in harmony to make the following aspirations and dreams a reality for everyone by 2030?

  • Happy, committed and academically outstanding staff members who will show a sense of belonging to the college
  • Joyful, skill-based, technology-blended and placement-driven learning environment for students
  • Attracting and admitting at least 2000 more talented and motivated students from rural and socially disadvantaged backgrounds into the campus.
  • Establishing a vibrant worldwide SHC Alumni Network who will relate with their alma mater with a sense of gratitude and pride
  • Improving the living standards of people in villages in Tirupattur and neighboring districts through innovation, entrepreneurship and community engagement.

May our Blessed Mother Mary and our patron saint Don Bosco continue to bless us.
