COLLEGE DAY : MOLDING THE SACRED DIAMONDS
60th College Day was Celebrated with unusual pomp and gaiety on24th February 2012 Friday, under eye-bewitching illumination. Dr.Balakrishnan, the former Vice-Chancellor of Periyar University, Rt. Rev.Dr.Soundararaju, the Bishop of Vellore and Rev.Dr.A.Jayapalan, the Salesian Provincial, Chennai Province were the Cheifguests. It was a unique honour to the college as all these three were alumni of the college. Prizes, Medals and Scholarship were awarded to the Meritorious Students, Triumphant athletes and well disciplined students.
Staff of the college were honoured for undertaking research and publishing article of national and international repute, Cultural events were performed and the highlight was 'Refund' a mock drama attacking the commercialization of education.
Earlier at 9 a.m. a solemn Holy Eucharist was celebrating the mass, Bishop Rt. Rev.Dr.Soundararaju, exhorted the youth to get educated injustice and peace.
Rev.Fr.K.M.Jose, the Rector, Rev.Dr.Maria Soosai, the Principal, Rev.Dr.A.T.Thomas, the additional principal and Rev.Dr.D.maria Antony have made series of arrangements in total collaboration with the staff.
