On the 5th of December, 2021, Rev.Dr.John Alexander, the Rector and Secretary of the college and Rev.Dr. Theophil Anand, Vice-Principal (Administration, Shift -II) celebrated their Silver Jubilee of Priestly Ordination and Religious Profession. The entire Salesian Community gathered as a family to celebrate this joyous occasion.The Jubilarians were welcomed into the Kamarajar Arangam in procession by the NCC cadets, holding the guard of honour as a mark of respect to their service. The celebration commenced with the Holy Eucharist at 10 a.m.

Rev.Dr. Theophil Anand, in his sermon, recalled his Call to serve God. He elaborated on the duties of a priest and to be faithful in one's Calling.  He expressed his gratitude to the Almighty and the Salesian community for nurturing faith in him to serve the society. The Holy mass was followed by felicitation.

Rev. Dr. D. Maria Antony Raj, the Principal, welcomed everyone to the celebration. The family members, the Salesian Community, the teaching and non-teaching staff of the college, and the well-wishers expressed their compliments to the jubilarians. Rev.Dr. K.A. Maria Arockiaraj, the Additional Principal of Shift – II, appreciated and brought out their unique qualities as priests. Dr. Xavier Rajarathinam, The Vice-Principal,. (Academics) Shift – I, congratulated them on behalf of the teaching staff. Dr.A.Prabhu, Department of Tamil, presented audio-visual memoirs of the jubilarians. Professor Bento, the Physical Director, announced the winners of Father Murphy Memorial Cricket Tournament.The winners were honoured by the jubilarians with prizes and certificates.The celebrations concluded with words of gratitude from Rev Dr.John Alexander. It was followed by a fellowship meal.

The programme was well organized and coordinated by Rev.Dr.Praveen Peter, the Vice-Principal (Administration, Shift - I) and Rev.Dr.S.John Borg, Department of Mathematics (Shift - I). The choir was led by Rev.Dr.Gandhi Kallarasan, Campus Minister. The Savio altar boys of the college aided the altar service.
