Writing a research proposal is a crucial skill for researchers. A well-crafted proposal not only secures resources but also serves as a roadmap for a successful research journey. In this connection to give an insight to all the faculty members the college management organized the FDP on 16^th December 2023, the topic entitled “How to write a quality research proposal for different funding agencies” delivered by Prof. Dr. Appa Rao Podile, former Vice Chancellor of the University of Hyderabad, Senior Professor, Department of Plant Sciences, University of Hyderabad. The programme began with a welcome note and the introduction of the speaker by Rev. Dr. D. Maria Antony Raj, Principal, Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Tirupattur. The speaker enlightened the faculty members on various aspects involved in writing research projects for the different funding agencies.  Added to that, the resource person proposed 10 commandments, which are vital for effective proposals. Finally, he wished and asked everyone to understand the key components, in tailoring to the audience and following best practices, researchers can enhance the likelihood of their proposals being accepted and contribute meaningfully to their respective fields and the institution. The Program concluded with the vote of thanks by Rev. Dr. D. Maria Antonyraj, Principal.
