The Department of Commerce in association with SRIC of ICAI, Chennai organised a One Day National Workshop on "Tax Filing Procedures and Practices in India" on 13^th December, 2023. The programme had three sessions: counselling and two technical sessions. The counselling session on 'CA as a Professional Choice' and the second session on ‘Introduction to E-filing of Income Tax Returns' were handled by CA. Manikandan P. During the third session CA. Ramya C made her presentation and speech on 'Overview of GST and Career Opportunities in GST Practices'. As per the feedback received from the participants, the programme was very much relevant and useful.  They expressed that the workshop has enriched their understanding and knowledge in IT and GST Return filing procedure. The counselling session was attended by 1100 participants and technical sessions were attended by 700 participants including 250 students from 18 other colleges.
