The Pongal Celebrations for Shift II was held on 13^th January, 2024 in the college grounds at 01.45 pm. The event began by Prayer Service led by Mr. D. Louis Sahaya Henston and team. Rev.Fr. Praveen Peter, Rector inaugurated the event. The key note address was given by Dr. M. Sarala Devi, Head, Department of Tamil. Rev.Fr. Praveen Peter, Rector and Rev. Dr. K. A. Maria Arokiaraj SDB, the Additional Principal felicitated the gathering by the thought provoking message. The chief guest for the event was Mr. Ramesh, Ex MLA.

The students participated in various Pongal Events: such as Rangoli, Kabadi, Tug of War, Sack Race and Slow Cycle Race for Boys and Uriadithal, Lemon and Spoon, Tug of War, Pot Painting and Three Legged Race for Girls. Common events were also organized such as Pongal Preparation, Bombing the City and Dedication of Songs. The faculty members also participated in bombing the city and won prizes.

Pongal making, Rangoli and Pot Painting were judged by Rev. Fr. Albert Kumar Savarimuthu and Rev. Fr. Nithiyan Kunnadiyan, Don Bosco Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Tirupattur. The programme was coordinated by Vice-Principal Administration Rev. Dr. D. Shamson Shanmugam, Mr. D. Senthilkumar and Dr. Sankar Secretary of Fine Arts respectively.
