Event Details
On February 14, 2024, a captivating Calligraphy contest took place at Pope Francis Hall by the PG and Research Department of English (Shift II). Eight students participated, showcasing their exceptional skills in the art of calligraphy. The event aimed to celebrate the beauty and significance of calligraphy while providing students with a platform to display their artistic talents. The event commenced at 11.30 and continued until 12.30. Each participant was given sufficient time to complete their writing and was allotted a specific time slot to present their work. The students utilized various calligraphy styles, including traditional, functional hand, modern and experimental to express their creativity.
During the event, participants demonstrated their calligraphy skills. They showcased their proficiency in handling different writing instruments, such as brushes, pens, and markers. Following the event, the calligraphy pieces were displayed on the department notice board for broader visibility and recognition. It allowed the students, and faculty to appreciate the craftsmanship and creativity of the participants. The event served as an example of the artistic talent present among the students.
