Every year a week of Bridging Course is conducted for the UG 1^st year students to bridge the gap between the School and the College. It is conducted on three major areas such as Department Practices, English Language Fluency and Tamil Writing Skill. For the academic year 2024-2025, the classes are conducted from 03.06.2024 to 07.06.2024.  The Inauguration of the Bridge Course began at 8:30 a.m. on 03 June, 2024, in Kamarajar Arangam with a prayer song. Rev. Dr. D. Maria Antony Raj, Principal welcomed the 1^st year students. Rev. Dr. K.A. Maria Arokiaraj, Additional Principal and The Director of Communicative English introduced the course content and the rationale behind the course. Rev. Dr. Praveen Peter, Rector blessed and felicitated the gathering.

The course is scheduled with five hours of classes from 9.00 a.m. to 4.15 p.m. for five days.

The daily schedule included the following:

• Department Hour  is organized to familiarize students with department practices
• Tamil Writing hour trained the students to write error free Tamil
• English Vocabulary, Reading and Writing classes enhanced the English language fluency

Faculty members from 24 departments handled the classes of Bridge Course for 1,258 students.  The valediction of the Bridge Course commenced at 3:00 pm in Kamarajar Arangam on 07.06. 2024. Absentees of the bridging course are asked to compensate the loss on 08.06.2024. 

Dr. S. Savitha, Vice Principal, Academics (Shift-II) and Dr. J. Mary Jenif   Head, UG Dept. of English coordinated the conduct of the conduct of the bridging course under the leadership of Rev. Dr. K.A. Maria Arokiaraj, the Additional Principal.
