Event Details

The Academic Year 2024-2025 at Sacred Heart College (Autonomous) Tirupattur was inaugurated with great pomp and circumstance on 19th June 2024 at 1.30 pm in Kamarajar Arangam. The event was marked by a Prayer Service led by Rev. Dr. Bharathi Bernadsha, which set the tone for a spiritually enriching and academically stimulating year ahead. The Prayer Service was enriched by a Prayer Song performed by Prof. Henston & team which added to the festive atmosphere of the occasion.

Rev. Dr. Shanmugam, Vice Principal (Admin) Shift-II, welcomed the students, faculty members, and guests to the inauguration ceremony and thanked everyone for their presence. Rev. Dr. Praveen Peter Rector and Secretary introduced the Salesians, highlighting their commitment to education and service. The office bearers for the academic year were introduced, followed by the message from Rev. Dr. K.A. Maria Arockiaraj, Additional Principal. He emphasized the importance of academic excellence, discipline, in shaping the minds of future leaders.

Rev. Dr. Maria Antonyraj, Principal, delivered his message, stressing the need for students to strive for academic excellence, be responsible citizens and work towards creating a better society. Dr.Nahren, Dean of Research introduced releasing of college journals and books. Dr. S. Savitha, Vice-Principal Academics, introduced the Chief Guest for the occasion, Rev. Dr. Don Bosco Lourdusamy, Provincial of Chennai (INM) and Chairman of Sacred Heart College (Autonomous) Tirupattur.

Rev. Dr. Don Bosco Lourdusamy delivered an inspiring address, emphasizing the need for students to strive for academic excellence, be responsible citizens, and work towards creating a better society. After the Chief Guest's address, Dr. Devi and Dr. Gerly, Deans for women students and Mr. Rajkumar and Dr. Govindan, Deans for men students, read out the rules and regulations of the college. The program concluded with Vote of Thanks by Dr. Liny Jenifer. Ms. Rekha from the Department of English and Mr. Thirupathy from the Department of Tamil coordinated the entire event as Masters of Ceremony.
