 Sacred Heart College celebrated the inauguration of its academic associations, groups and movements and the investiture of the office bearers for the academic year 2024-2025. The event took place on 12/07/24 in the Kamarajar Arangam at 10:45 a.m.

 

The ceremony began with a solemn procession of the leaders of various academic associations and groups and movements. Rev. Dr. S. Bharathi Bernadsha, the Campus Minister, led the prayer service and the investiture of the office bearers. Rev.  Dr. D. Maria Antony Raj, the principal, extended a warm welcome to the gathering and honoured the chief guest, Dr. M. Natchimuthu, a distinguished member of the Syndicate of Thiruvalluvar University, Vellore, recognizing his significant contributions to education and his support for the college. In his address, father emphasized the college's remarkable achievements and its mission to foster academic excellence and holistic development. He highlighted the importance of cultivating leadership skills and extending service to society, underscoring the institution's commitment to reinforcing the institution's dedication to nurturing responsible and impactful citizens. Following the welcome address, Rev. Dr. G. Theophil Anand, Vice Principal (Administration), presented an overview of the activities planned for the academic year 2024-2025.

 

The chief guest, Dr.  M. Natchimuthu, in his keynote address, commended the college for its contributions to higher education and encouraged students to strive for excellence in all their endeavours. He emphasized the importance of leadership and community service in shaping a better future. He also shared valuable insights and inspired the students to strive for excellence in all their endeavours. The event was further enlivened by a series of cultural performances, including a medley and a traditional Tamil folk dance, which showcased the rich cultural heritage of Tamil Nadu and the diverse talents of the students.

 

Dr. F. Julian Xercies Rigley, Assistant Professor, Department of English, delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all those who contributed to the success of the event. The ceremony concluded with the singing of the college anthem. The inauguration and investiture ceremony at Sacred Heart College marked the beginning of a promising academic year, filled with opportunities for growth, learning, and leadership.
