The distribution of scholarships to the deserving students of the gypsy community was organised on 11^th July, 2024 at 3.15 pm in the Department of Extension Education and Services (DB Centre), Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Tirupattur. The event began with a prayer song, followed by a welcome speech and a dynamic introduction by Rev. Dr. Shanmugam, Director, Department of Extension Education and Services (DEEDS). The event  aims to provide financial assistance to support their educational pursuits.

Rev. Dr. Maria Antonyraj, Principal, and Rev. Dr. K.A.Maria Arokiaraj, Additional Principal, delivered the presidential addresses highlighting the importance of education and the role of the institution in providing support to deserving students. The scholarships were distributed by Rev. Dr. Maria Antonyraj, Principal, Rev. Dr. K.A.Maria Arokiaraj, Additional Principal, and Rev. Dr. Shanmugam, Director, DEEDS.

The scholarships worth Rs. 1,95,000 were distributed to 29 Gypsy students who are currently studying in Dominic Savio Higher Secondary School, Mary Immaculate Higher Secondary School, and Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Tirupattur. Mrs. Sagayamary, Gypsy Development Work Coordinator, proposed the vote of thanks.
