Event Details

The PG and Research Department of Social Work and the YMCA Boys Division, Tirupattur, in collaboration with YMCA Taichung, Taiwan, organized a cultural exchange program as part of the International Volunteers Youth Camp on 11th July, 2024. The program aimed to bring together students from Sacred Heart College and Taiwan to share their cultural experiences, educational systems, and perspectives.

Twenty-eight students from various academic years (UG and PG) from Sacred Heart College participated in the program. Two students and a professor from Taiwan joined the interaction, which took place from 9:40 am to 10:40 am.

The students from Sacred Heart College enthusiastically shared the aspects of Indian culture and the education system, highlighting the diversity and richness of our heritage. The Taiwanese students reciprocated by sharing their own cultural practices, traditions, and educational system, emphasizing the unique aspects of their country.

The interaction was marked by lively discussions, questions, and answers, with students from both countries showing keen interest in learning from each other. The Taiwanese students were impressed by the cultural diversity of India, while the students from Sacred Heart College were fascinated by Taiwan's modernization and technological advancements.

The program concluded at 10:40 am, with both groups expressing their gratitude for the opportunity to engage in a meaningful cultural exchange. The event fostered a sense of global citizenship, mutual respect, and understanding among the participants.
