The Department of English, Shift I, Language Association, Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Tirupattur, organized an invited talk titled "Mastering Spelling: Essential Techniques for Improving Accuracy Using Free Online Apps" on September 27, 2024, at  2 p.m. in Mother Teresa Hall.

                     Prof. N. Aruldoss, Head of the Department of English, welcomed the gathering and introduced the resource person.  The guest speaker for the event was Dr. A. John Joseph, Assistant Professor in the Department of English and Foreign Languages at SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Kattankulathur, Chennai. Dr. John Joseph, renowned for his expertise in language education, conducted an engaging and informative session on the importance of mastering spelling in English, especially for students and professionals in a globalized world.

                  The event aimed at introducing participants to free online apps and tools that can help improve spelling accuracy. During the session, Dr. John Joseph demonstrated the practical application of these tools, provided insights into how they can enhance learning, and offered essential techniques to ensure effective spelling practice. His interactive approach and real-time examples captivated the audience. The event concluded with a vote of thanks.
