The PG & Research Department of Management Studies organized a Stop Motion and Animation Programme for the I MBA students on 13.09.2024, the event was aimed at encouraging creativity and deepening their understanding of key business functions. Under the leadership of Dr. S. Sasikumar, Head of the Department, the event challenged students to create short animated videos that visually represented various business concepts such as Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), the Employee Life Cycle, New Product Development, and Launch, etc. among other functional areas of business. Despite limited resources, the students enthusiastically embraced the challenge, producing engaging and conceptually clear animations.

The programme was well-organized, with Dr. R. Arockiamary serving as the Organizing Secretary, and the coordination team including Dr. J. Sasiganth, Dr. R. Alexander, Mr. G. Lawrence, and Mrs. Durgavathi. Each team was assigned to develop a short video that effectively demonstrated their understanding of business processes, using minimalistic tools and stop-motion animation techniques. The programme provided a unique opportunity for students to express complex ideas in a simplified, visually appealing format, promoting both conceptual clarity and creativity.

The completed videos were evaluated by the faculty based on a range of criteria, including creativity, accuracy, conceptual understanding, and storytelling technique, etc. The staff members provided constructive feedback and acknowledged the students' impressive efforts in adapting to the challenge. The programme was well-received by the students, who found it to be an enjoyable and highly engaging learning experience, enabling them to gain new skills in animation and visual presentation. Overall, the Stop Motion and Animation Programme was a resounding success, enriching the students' learning journey and providing a practical, hands-on approach to understanding the various functional areas of business.
