The PG and Research Department of Management Studies organized placement orientation on September 11, 2024. Mrs. R. Durgavathi, Assistant Professor at SHIMS, warmly welcomed the attendees and acknowledged the significance of the day, which coincided with the celebration of "Maha Kavi Day." The session featured a presentation by Mr. Anbazagan C, an independent consultant, who spoke on the Role of Business Administration and the Challenges ahead. His presentation covered key roles in business administration, particularly in HR, finance, marketing, and purchasing. Mr. Anbazagan highlighted how automation, software, and artificial intelligence are transforming the industry, urging students to prepare for the changing landscape. He emphasized the importance of developing essential skills such as knowledge acquisition, effective communication, motivation, adaptability, and problem-solving to excel in the field. Additionally, the session provided a strategic roadmap for enhancing placement opportunities, with a focus on engaging alumni and industry professionals, and improving student-industry interaction through mock interviews and quizzes. The session concluded by stressing the need for continuous learning and adaptation to meet the evolving demands of the industry, thereby ensuring successful career placements for students. The program was organized under the guidance of Dr. S. Sasikumar, Head, SHIMS while the event was organized by Dr. J. Sasiganth, Placement In-Charge. Coordination was provided by Dr. R. Arockiamary, Association President, along with the faculty members.
