The IVDP Koselay Memorial Scholarship Distribution Programme was held on 27th November 2024 at 11:30 AM in Carreno Hall, Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Tirupattur. Organized by the Department of Extension Education and Services in collaboration with the Integrated Village Development Project (IVDP), the event aimed to empower orphaned and semi-orphaned students by providing financial assistance to support their education. The programme commenced with a prayer song led by Mr. Henston and his team from the Department of English. It was followed by a warm welcome address delivered by Ms. R. Sandhiya, who highlighted the importance of the individual person initiative and its role in transforming lives of poor and needy.

Rev. Dr. Praveen Peter SDB, the Rector and Secretary of Sacred Heart College, delivered the facilitation address, emphasizing the Mr.Kulandai Francis commitment to social upliftment through education and collaboration. The highlight of the event was the presence of Magsaysay Awardee and Founder-President of IVDP, Mr. Kulandai Francis, who served as the chief guest. In his inspiring message, he underscored the significance of education in empowering marginalized communities and encouraged students to persevere in their academic pursuits. He personally distributed scholarships to the deserving students, offering them not just financial aid but also hope and motivation for a brighter future.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mr. S. Nisikanth from the Department of Tamil, who expressed gratitude to the chief guest, organizers, and attendees for making the programme a success. Mr. Kulandai Francis’s words, “Empowerment of the Poor is my Goal, for them I Live,” resonated deeply with all present, leaving an indelible mark on their hearts.
