The National Service Scheme (NSS) camp for the year 2024-2025 of Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Tirupattur, Tirupattur District was planned at Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Amanangkovil panchayat, Pudhupettai Village, Tirupattur District.

The following arrangements were made before the start of the camp:

An official Permission obtained from the Chief educational officer (CEO), the Head Master of the Boys higher secondary school, and the same is intimated to the Thasildhar, Revenue inspector RI) and Village administration Officer (VAO) of the Local Ammanang kovil panchayat of Pudhupettai.

The resource persons for the motivational talks for all the seven days were arranged to the volunteers well in advance and are officially invited with an invitation. 

The cooks were appointed and other groceries for seven days camp were purchased and other arrangements were made for safe and healthy staying in the camp. 

The tools (Digging rod – 12, pickaxe 1, hoe - 22, knife 7, rake 4, steal pan - 40) and Other equipment’s checked for its good condition and repaired and were made ready before the camp. 

The volunteers were instructed to bring necessary camping materials like cloths bed sheets, tumblers and plate’s medicine for safe and comfortable stay in the camp. 

Two college buses were arranged to take the NSS volunteers to the camp site, to pickup the volunteers to the nearby work field then to the college back after

completion of the camp.

 

In this camp a total of 4 NSS programme officers, Dr. G. Mohan Gandhi, Dr. U. Ramesh, Dr.A.ArokiaNepolean Raj, Dr. U. Chandersekar and 5 supportive faculties, Dr. R. Kurinji malar, Prof. V.M. Divya, Dr.S. Manimegalai, Dr.R. Tirupathi were arranged and to support and help the safe stay of the volunteers in the camp. A total of 190 students of 4 units took part in this noble endeavour.

The NSS team is thankful to the management of sacred heart college for all the support rendered in all the ways to start the camp with a positive note. The camp is arranged in such a way to accommodate field work, sessions for motivational and social importance sessions and cultural programs regarding social conscious.
