The Department of Communicative English at Sacred Heart College organized a condolence meeting in honour of Mrs. H. Annapurani, a beloved faculty member whose contributions to the institution were deeply cherished. The program was held on the 29th of November 2024, at 2 p.m. in Kamarajar Arangam. The gathering included faculty, students, management representatives, and members of Mrs. Annapurani's family, who came together to pay their respects and celebrate her life and legacy. The event began with a solemn prayer service led by Mr. Henston and his team from the Department of English, accompanied by Rev. Dr. Shanmugam SDB, Vice-Principal (Admin). The prayer created a serene and reflective atmosphere, setting the tone for the proceedings.

Rev. Dr. K. A. Maria Arokiaraj SDB, Additional Principal, welcomed everyone and introduced the dynamics of the day. He highlighted the significance of the event, emphasizing the importance of remembering and honouring the contributions of Mrs. Annapurani to the Sacred Heart College. A special condolence message from the management was delivered by Rev. Dr. Praveen Peter SDB, Rector and Secretary of the college. He spoke with great emotion, acknowledging the profound loss felt by the college community and recalling the dedication and passion with which Mrs. Annapurani had served.

The program also included sharing sessions by individuals who had closely known and worked with Mrs. Annapurani. Ms. Shoby Beula Ruth, a faculty member from the Department of Communicative English, offered heartfelt words about her colleague. She spoke about Mrs. Annapurani's inspiring presence, her unwavering commitment to her students, and her remarkable ability to foster positivity in any situation. Ms. Nandhini, a student from the Department of Psychology, shared her thoughts. She expressed her admiration for Mrs. Annapurani, describing her as a mentor and guide who had a profound impact on her academic and personal life. Mr. Ravichandiran, the husband of Mrs. Annapurani, expressed his gratitude to the college for organizing such a meaningful tribute. He shared personal anecdotes about his late wife, highlighting her dedication to her family and her profession. His words moved everyone in the audience.
