The Dept. of Computer Applications organised the alumni meet virtually on 14th December 2024, between 5:30 PM and 6:30 PM, with the participation of alumni from the 2011–2014 batch, the first batch of the department. The session aimed to discuss various ways in which alumni could contribute to the department's growth and support current students, both financially and academically. During the meeting, several important topics were discussed. The alumni shared their thoughts on improving the department, emphasizing the need for curriculum updates to reflect current industry demands and modernizing teaching practices. They also suggested strengthening connections with industry partners to enhance placement opportunities for students.  A significant portion of the meeting focused on how alumni could support financially disadvantaged students. Another key area of discussion was alumni involvement in departmental activities. Alumni expressed a keen interest in returning as guest speakers, trainers, or resource persons for workshops, seminars, and other academic events. They offered to share their professional expertise and experiences, which could significantly enrich the learning experience of current students. It was agreed that such involvement would not only benefit the students but also foster a stronger connection between the department and its alumni.
