The Retirement Function of Dr. K.A. Maria Arokiaraj, Additional Principal and Head of the Department of English (PG), Shift-II, Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Tirupattur, was held on the 25th of January, 2025 at 2:30 PM in Kamarajar Arangam. The event was organized to honour Rev.Dr.K.A,Maria Arokiaraj's dedicated service and contributions to the institution. The program commenced with a prayer song by the Shift-II Choir, setting a solemn and respectful tone for the event. It was followed by a welcome and felicitation address delivered by Rev. Dr. Praveen Peter SDB, Rector and Secretary of Sacred Heart College, who highlighted the invaluable role played by Rev.Dr.K.A.Maria Arokiaraj in shaping the academic and moral framework of the institution.

A video presentation, curated by Mr. U. Kamesh, Ms. U. Anto Maria Eusobia, and Ms. R. Edith Melody from the Department of English, showcased Rev.Dr.K.A,Maria Arokiaraj's journey and achievements. Subsequently, the girls of the various departments, led by Dr. Maria Liny Jenifer and Ms. R. Rekha, performed a graceful dance in honour of the retiree. Dr. S. Savitha, Vice-Principal (Academics), felicitated Rev.Dr.K.A,Maria Arokiaraj on behalf of the staff, appreciating his unwavering commitment to the college's growth and development. It was followed by an energetic medley performance by Mr. Henston from the Department of English.

Mr. Kumaran, a 2nd-year B.A. Tamil student, delivered a heartfelt felicitation on behalf of the students, reflecting on Rev.Dr.K.A.Maria Arokiaraj's impact on their academic and personal lives. After this, Ramanmagasaysay awardee Mr. Kulandai Francis, Founder of IVDP Krishnagiri, delivered an inspiring felicitation, commending Rev.Dr.K.A.Maria Arokiaraj's contributions to education and society. Following this, a special 'Vazthumadal,' was recited by the Brother-in-Law of Rev. Dr. Maria Arokiaraj, expressing deep admiration and gratitude.Another video presentation on Rev.Dr.K.A,Maria Arokiaraj's illustrious career was presented by Mr. A. Peter Consious Prabu, Mr. S. Saravanan, and Mr. S. Jeevananthan from the Department of English. Rev.Dr.K.A,Maria Arokiaraj then took the stage to deliver his response, expressing his gratitude and sharing his reflections on his years of service.

A lively boys' dance performance, choreographed by Ms. Yamin Ruvaitha and Mr. Rakesh Sharma from the Department of English, added a touch of joy and celebration to the event. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. J. Mary Jenif, Head (UG), Department of English, followed by the College Anthem. The event was efficiently coordinated by Rev.Dr. Shanmugam Vice-Principal(Admin) and  the Masters of Ceremony, Ms. R. Himani from 1st M.A. English, and Mr. J. Antony from 3rd B.Sc. Computer Science. The retirement function was a fitting tribute to Rev.Dr.K.A,Maria Arokiaraj's remarkable contributions to Sacred Heart College and left a lasting impression on all attendees.
