The session took place in Pope Francis Hall at 2:15 PM. Dr. Saravanan, Assistant Professor Senior Grade, Department of English, School of Social Sciences and Languages, VIT University, Vellore, was the keynote speaker.

The event began with a warm welcome by the Head of the Department of English, Prof. N. Aruldoss, followed by an introduction highlighting his expertise in English literature and digital literacy. The speaker eloquently addressed how digital technology has transformed traditional reading habits, analysing both the positive and negative effects of e-books, audiobooks, and online reading platforms.

Dr. Saravanan emphasized that while digital advancements have made literature more accessible, they have also led to shorter attention spans and reduced deep reading. He encouraged students to find a balance between digital and traditional reading methods to enhance comprehension and critical thinking. The session concluded with a vote of thanks.
