The Valedictory Function of Academic Associations, Groups & Movements, and Outreach Programmes at Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Tirupattur, was organized on 04/02/2025. At 10.30 a.m. in Kamarajar Arangam. It was a momentous occasion that celebrated the dedication, achievements, and contributions of students, faculty, and organizers. The event commenced with a warm welcome as the dignitaries and student representatives entered the hall to a round of applause.
Rev. Dr. D. Maria Antony Raj, Principal of Sacred Heart College, delivered the welcome address and introduced the esteemed chief guest, Dr. S. Sreedaran, Principal (Grade 1) of Muthurangam Arts & Science College, Vellore. The speech acknowledged the significance of academic and outreach programs in shaping students' futures. A comprehensive report on the activities and achievements of various academic associations and outreach programs was presented through a video presentation. This report highlighted the collective efforts and impact of these initiatives on students' holistic development. It was followed by the release of the online journal Puthiya Avaiyam, facilitated by Dr. Parthibaraja, Head of the Department of Tamil.
Dr. S. Sreedaran delivered an inspiring speech emphasizing the importance of knowledge sharing, leadership, and active participation in academic and social activities. His words motivated students to continue striving for excellence and stressed on three factors; truth, honesty and hard work.
A heartfelt prayer service was conducted, invoking blessings and guidance for the event by Rev. Dr. Bharathi Bernardsha, the Campus Minister, Sacred Heart College. It was followed by the symbolic laying down of insignia, signifying the transition of leadership and responsibilities. One of the most anticipated moments of the event was the prize distribution ceremony. Dr. T. Jeyabalan, Dean of Studies, announced the names of students who had demonstrated outstanding leadership, dedication, and excellence. The winners were honoured for their contributions to their respective associations. The event was further enriched by a dance presentation that captivated the audience.
Dr. Jacob Stanly Inbaraj, Head of the Department of Economics, delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all dignitaries, faculty members, students, and organizers for making the event a grand success.
