The 74th College Day of Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Graded A++ and 47th NIRF ranked college, Tirupattur, was celebrated on 8th February, 2025, with splendour, honouring the institution’s academic excellence, cultural vibrancy, and student achievements.
The celebrations commenced with the Thamizhnthai Vazhthu, followed by an invocation led by Rev. Fr. Renigo Roy, SDB. Rev. Dr. K. A. Maria Arockiaraj, Additional Principal, Shift II, welcomed the gathering. The Annual Report was presented by Rev. Dr. Maria Antony Raj, SDB, Principal, highlighting the milestones achieved by the college over the past years. This was followed by the chief guest address.
Delivering the chief guest’s address, Rev. Dr. Praveen Peter, SDB, Rector and Secretary of Sacred Heart College, reflected on the significance of College Day as a moment to recollect the institution’s achievements and milestones. He lauded the tireless efforts of the Principal, the IQAC team, faculty, and stakeholders in securing the prestigious A++ Grade in the NAAC Accreditation and attaining the 47th rank in the NIRF Rankings, a testament to the institution’s dedication to academic and holistic excellence. Emphasizing the importance of self-discipline and a positive mindset, he urged students to feed their minds with positive attributes, as one’s thoughts shape one’s destiny. He also stressed the value of good deeds, stating that acts of kindness without expectation often return as life’s greatest blessings. Expressing deep gratitude, he thanked all those who played a role in propelling the institution to greater heights. He prayed for the blessings of Mother Mary and St. Don Bosco to guide and protect the college community abundantly.
It was followed by the Prize Distribution Ceremony, where students excelling in academics, sports, and extracurricular activities were honoured with awards. Rev. Dr. Praveen Peter, the Rector and Secretary, presented the prizes to the achievers, applauding their commitment and perseverance.
A spectacular cultural program added to the festivity, with students mesmerizing the audience through performances in music, dance, and drama. The event concluded with the Vote of Thanks by Rev. Dr. G. Theophil Anand, SDB, Vice Principal, (Administration) Shift I, expressing gratitude to all who contributed to the success of the celebration.
