Event Details

On February 05, 2025, the PG and Research Department of Commerce (Shift – II) successfully organized an Inter-Collegiate Competition aimed at enhancing students' skills and knowledge in the field of commerce. The event witnessed the enthusiastic participation of around 10 teams from various colleges and departments, fostering a spirit of learning and healthy competition. The program commenced with a prayer, setting a respectful and focused tone for the proceedings. It was followed by a warm welcome address delivered by Ms. S R Poorvisha II M.Com., who encouraged participants and guests to embrace the essence of competition. Rev. Dr.  K. A. Maria Arokiaraj, SDB Additional Principal then delivered the inaugural address, marking the official commencement of the event. Totally seven events conducted in the competition.

A total of seven event­s were conducted for the Inter-Collegiate Competition: Poster Making, Business Quiz, Identifying Personality, Stress Management, Just A Minute, Connextion and Movie Making. Throughout the competition, students demonstrated enthusiasm, dedication, and active engagement in various challenges designed to test their knowledge and skills. Their participation reflected a keen interest in academic and professional excellence. Rev. D Shanmugam Vice Principal (Admin), Shift-II delivered the valedictory address, highlighting the significance of such competitions in academic growth. Mr. Rajkumar G Assistant Professor then announced the list of prize winners, following which Rev. D Shanmugam Vice Principal (Admin), Shift-II distributed certificates and trophies, recognizing the achievements and efforts of the participants. The Overall Championship won by B.Com (B&F) Sacred Heart College, II Place won by BBA, Sacred Heart College and III Place won by B.Com, Islamiah Women’s College.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms. U Varshini I M.Com., expressing gratitude to all individuals and institutions involved in making the competition a success. Mr. M Mariaprithivirajan II M.Com serving as the Master of Ceremony ensured the smooth flow of the program with his adept coordination. The day’s proceedings ended on a high note with the uplifting performance of the college anthem, leaving participants and attendees with a sense of accomplishment and companionship. The event was a resounding success, reinforcing the department’s commitment to academic excellence and student development.
