The PG & Research Department of Biochemistry, organized an Industrial Visit to Oferr Nallayan Research Centre for Sustainable Development at Chennai, on 15.02.2025. The Research Centre was comprised of different sections dedicated to biochemistry, pharmacology and microbiology each focusing on various aspects of research development and also offering Spirulina, Organic Spirulina, Spirulina Tablets etc. The industrial visit provided a highly enriching experience for the students, offering valuable insights into industrial-scale product production, spirulina cultivation, interdisciplinary training and their marketing strategies. The students were given practical demonstration on spirulina drying, powdering, processing and harvesting.  About 31 students, visited the center accompanied by Dr. K. Sheela PG Association President and Dr. V. Gopalakrishnan respectively.
