The Department of Extension Education and Services (DEEDS) of Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Tirupattur, has been honoured with the “Best Outreach Award” by Thiruvalluvar University, Vellore. This prestigious award was conferred in recognition of the department’s exceptional contributions to community development, social outreach, and educational extension activities. Among 80 affiliated colleges under Thiruvalluvar University, the Department of Extension Education and Services (DEEDS) was selected for this distinguished award, acknowledging its impactful programs and unwavering commitment to societal transformation.

The award was presented on 7th March 2025 by Dr. T. Arumugam, Vice-Chancellor of Thiruvalluvar University, Vellore, and Ms. Sujatha, Mayor of Vellore. Dr. D. Shanmugam, Director of the Department of Extension Education and Services (DB Centre), Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Tirupattur, received the award. This recognition underscores DEEDS' dedication to fostering holistic community engagement through various initiatives focused on education, skill development, and social welfare.
