The Department of Extension Education and Services (DEEDS), Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Tirupattur, organized a one-day picnic for its staff on 29th March 2025. A total of 21 staff members, accompanied by Rev. Dr. Shanmugam, Director, DEEDS, participated in the trip, which provided an opportunity for relaxation and team bonding. The journey commenced at 4:30 AM from Tirupattur, with the first stop at Kattukovil St. Antony's Church at 6:45 AM. After a brief visit and prayers, the group proceeded to the Chidambaram Nataraja Temple, where they explored the temple’s rich cultural and spiritual significance.

Following the temple visit, the staff travelled to Pichavaram Mangrove Forest, where they experienced a memorable boat ride through the dense mangrove ecosystem, appreciating the natural beauty and biodiversity of the region. This part of the trip was a refreshing and unique experience for everyone. After the boat ride, the team made a brief stop at Don Bosco Matriculation School, Cuddalore, for a tea break. The journey concluded as the group returned to Tirupattur at 11:30 AM. The outing was well-organized, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the day, making it a memorable event for the DEEDS team.
