Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Tirupattur, Shift-II through its Youth for Social Responsibility (YSR), Red Ribbon Club (RRC), and Department of Extension Education and Services (DEEDS), organized a Blood Donation Camp in collaboration with the Government Community Health Centre, Andiyappanur. The noble initiative was held on 23rd September 2025 at 9 AM in Carreno Hall, with the theme “A Noble Act of Humanity”. The camp commenced with the Tamil Thaai Vazhthu, followed by a warm welcome address delivered by Mr. Mahendra Varman from the YSR team. The felicitation address was graced by the esteemed leaders of the college: Rev. Dr. Praveen Peter SDB, Rector and Secretary, Rev. Dr. Maria Antonyraj SDB, Principal, Rev. Dr. G. Theophil Anand SDB, Additional Principal, and Rev. Dr. D. Shanmugam SDB, Vice-Principal of Sacred Heart College. Their inspiring words highlighted the importance of service to humanity and the value of voluntary blood donation.

The chief guest address was delivered by distinguished medical professionals including Dr. Vinodh, MBBS., DPH., District Health Officer of Tirupattur, Dr. Soundarya, MBBS., Block Medical Officer, PHC Andiyappanur, Dr. Suresh, MBBS., Medical Officer, PHC Andiyappanur, and Dr. M. P. Kumaravel, M.S., Chief Civil Surgeon and Blood Bank-Medical Officer, Govt. Hospital, Tirupattur. Their insightful talks emphasized the urgent need for regular blood donation to save lives and support patients in emergencies. The programme also acknowledged the crucial role of the Integrated Counseling and Testing Centre through the vote of thanks delivered by Ms. C. S. Kalpana from the Govt. Primary Health Centre, Andiyappanur. The session concluded with the National Anthem, instilling a sense of pride and unity among the participants. The event was skilfully coordinated by the Master of Ceremony, Mr. V. S. Jayakumar Paul Bosco, President, Red Ribbon Club. Students, The collaboration under Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) and the Institution’s Innovation Council further strengthened the social outreach of the programme.
