The Department of B.Com(CA) organized a One-Day International Seminar on “AI in HRM: Emerging Trends and Transformative Potential” on 9th September 2025 at Carreno Hall. The seminar aimed to provide valuable insights into the role of Artificial Intelligence in reshaping Human Resource Management practices and the transformative impact of digital technologies in the HR domain.

The inaugural session commenced with a warm welcome address followed by an introduction to the theme of the seminar. The program featured eminent resource persons who shared their expertise and perspectives on different facets of AI in HRM.

The first session was delivered by Dr. K. Logesh, Associate Professor & Head, Department of CSE, Kuppam Engineering College, Andhra Pradesh, on the topic “Smart HR in the Age of AI and Digital Transformation.” He highlighted how AI-driven tools are revolutionizing workforce analytics, employee engagement, and performance management, emphasizing the need for HR professionals to adopt innovative digital practices.

The second session was handled by Mr. Praveen Subramani, B.E., M.B.A (HR & Marketing), Soft Skill Development Specialist & Career Guidance Mentor, who spoke on “Transforming Talent Acquisition: The Future of Recruitment in the Digital Age.” His session shed light on AI-powered recruitment platforms, predictive hiring, and the evolving expectations of the digital workforce.

The final session was conducted in online mode by Mr. Robin Daniel Philip, B.C.A, M.B.A, PGDBM, Head Corporate HR, Emirates International Hospital, UAE (Abu Dhabi–Al Ain) on the topic “Global HR—Trends, Opportunities & Digital Transformation.” He provided a global perspective on HR practices, exploring how multinational organizations leverage AI for cross-cultural workforce management, talent retention, and digital HR solutions.

The seminar concluded with an interactive Q&A session where participants actively engaged with the speakers, followed by a vote of thanks. Overall, the program was highly insightful, offering participants a deeper understanding of how AI is reshaping HRM globally and preparing them for the future of work in a digital era.
