On the 23^rd of January, 2021, Rev. Dr. K.A. Maria Arokiaraj, SDB, celebrated his 25^th Year of Priestly Ordination. The entire Salesian Educative Community gathered as a family to celebrate the silver jubilee of priestly ordination of Rev. Dr. K.A. Maria Arokiaraj. The celebration started with the Holy Eucharist at 10.30 a.m. in the Kamarajar Arangam. Rev. Dr. D. Maria Antony Raj, the Principal, wished and congratulated Rev. Dr. K.A. Maria Arokiaraj on his Silver Jubilee of priestly ordination.

Rev. Dr. K.A. Maria Arockiaraj, in his sermon, recalled the life of Jesus Christ. He said that, Jesus Christ spent just three years of worldly life and sacrificed his entire life for the people. Though Jesus had several difficulties in his spiritual life, he overcame the odds and led the people. Father also reflected on how the life of Christ - both His words and actions vibrates in his heart. He called for a spiritual change in each and everyone to understand the working of God.

 The holy mass was followed by felicitation. The family members, the Salesian Community, the teaching and nonteaching staff of the college, and his well-wishers felicitated father. Rev. Dr. John Alexander, the Rector and Secretary heaped praises on father’s commitment to his priestly life. He wished and thanked father for his spiritual sacrifice, and wanted him to continue serving the society. The Head of the Department of English (Shift-I) Prof. N. Arul Doss in his felicitation address exemplified father’s dedication in his pastoral life, especially in adhering to his priestly vows of wearing his cassock and guiding students at difficult times. Further, he is much disciplined and loves cleanliness around him.  People gathered in multitude to exhibit their sign of love towards father.

The celebrations concluded with words of gratitude from Rev. Dr. K.A. Maria Arokiaraj to all those who graced the occasion. It was followed by a fellowship meal.
