Event Details

The grand celebration was organized to mark the International Women’s day on 10th March in Sacred Heart College at Kamarajar Arangam at 10.30AM.

All the students of Shift II of various departments were cordially invited to join the programme. 2500 students and staffs took part in this event.

The Guest of honour for this event was Ms. K Jyothi, a young musical prodigy, Chennai. Ms. K. Jothi touched all our hearts vocally with her booming voice and bags of character in her tone. Ms. Kalaiselvi her mother inspired us and motivated us all by sharing the dreadful journey of Ms. K. Jothi and the comeback of her daughter’s musical profession inspite of her disability.  Her therapy on Music inspired to have passion on music; the passion paved the way as profession. It’s such a soulful message encouraging all the people to let their wings fly high on their goal and to keep excelling consistently.

To create the innovative young minds with media and to know their perspective about women, the women cell organized a short film contest. With their act of excellence, students of all the departments have participated, the short film videos were presented on screen. Various competitions were organized in view of Women’s day celebrations, and the prize winning student of paintings, poster presentation, essay, poem writing, and short film were felicitated during the prize distribution.

The programme was organised under the aegis of women cell (Shift II). The entire event was meticulously designed and executed by Mrs. Savitha, Dean women students (Shift II)
