An International Youth Camp was organized by YMCA Boys Division Tirupattur in association with YMCA TAICHUNG of Taiwan in collaboration with Sacred Heart College from 8^th to 15^st August 2023 at Tirupattur and Yellagiri Hills. Totally 16 university students from Taiwan and 10 students from Sacred Heart College participated in the camp. The International Youth Camp was inaugurated by Rev. Dr. K. A. Maria Arockiaraj the Additional Principal, Sacred Heart College (Autonomous) on 8^th August, 2023 at YMCA camp site, Yellagiri. He highlighted the cultural connections and the differences between Taiwan and India. He highlighted three aspects such as loving oneself, loving family and loving the environment which are common values of both the countries. From Sacred Heart College, the following ten students participated; Prem Kumar.Z (BCA), Samuel David.Y (Psychology), Deblina Sarkar.P (Psychology), Shivaram (BBA), Renuga Devi (BBA), Sachinsathishraj (B.Sc Comp. Sci.), Deepakraj.G (B.Com), Puviyarasu.P (B.Com), Ezekiel Aland (BBA).

The camp had enormous learning opportunities through art work, simulation games, life skills classes to rural children, experience of manual work, labour experience with farmers, trekking to tribal villages, Indian home living experience, learning of Tamil folk arts, experience in attending Indian class, camp fire, inter-cultural dialogue.

The students from Taiwan were coordinated by Mr. George Bernardsha, Executive Secretary, YMCA, Tirupathur Dt. The students from Sacred Heart College were coordinated by Dr. K. Arockiaraj, Youth Development Specialization, P.G & Research Department of Social Work, Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Tirupathur Dt.

During the valedictory of the camp, the organizing secretaries and the students of both the countries expressed their gratitude towards Rev. Dr. D. Maria Antony Raj, the Principal, Sacred Heart College for generously allowing this educational experience to come true.
