The All India Catholic University Federation, Shift I organized a thought-provoking debate on "Artificial Intelligence: Boon or Bane?" on December 11, 2023, in the Mother Teresa Hall The event, hosted at 2 p.m., was moderated by Dr. Prabhu, Assistant Professor, in the Department of Tamil at Sacred Heart College.

Eight students passionately presented their arguments both for and against the impact of Artificial Intelligence, engaging in a stimulating discussion on the topic. Dr. Prabhu, the moderator, shared insightful thoughts on the pros and cons of AI, injecting humor while enlightening students about potential dangers within technology.

Assistant Professor Madhan Kumar, the Red Ribbon Club president, set the tone for the event by introducing the moderator and presenting a Memento in appreciation. The program was coordinated by Dr. F. Julian Xercies Rigley, the President of All India Catholic University Federation. The moderator, Dr. Prabhu, concluded the debate by emphasizing that the impact of AI largely depends on how users make use of it, encouraging responsible utilization.
