The One Day Workshop on “Nanomaterials in Biomedical Applications” was organized by the PG and Research Department of Biochemistry on 22^nd February, 2024 at Pope Francis Hall. Dr. V. Gopalakrishnan welcomed the gathering. Dr. A. Jayaprakash [PG & Ph.D Head], Dr. M. Fernandus Durai [UG Head] honoured the resource person Dr. M. Ramadurai, Senior Lecturer, Center for Research Health, Saveetha Medical College and Hospital, Chennai. Dr. K. Sheela, felicitated Rev. Dr. G. Theophil Anand SDB, Vice- Principal (Admin) Shift-I. He gave the inaugural address for the workshop. Dr. K. Sheela, introduced the resource person with her warm words. The resource person, Dr. M. Ramadurai, explained the types of nanomaterials, used in the field of biomedical research and healthcare like drug delivery, imaging and diagnostics. In the demonstration session he showcases the preparation of nanoparticles and visualizes the formed particles under UV chamber. Nanoparticle crystals were showcased under light microscope.
