Event Details

The Silver Jubilee Celebration commemorated the 25 years of dedicated service by three esteemed members of the college: Dr. T. Jeyabalan, Mr. M. Francis Arockiaraj, and Mr. U. Arulraj on 13/09/24 at the Kamrajar Arangam. The event was marked by formal proceedings, felicitations, and expressions of gratitude for their remarkable contributions to the institution.

The event started with a prayer led by Rev. Dr. Bharathi Bernadsha, followed by a welcome address and felicitation by Rev. Dr. Praveen Peter, the Rector and Secretary of the college. A video presentation was displayed, showcasing the achievements of the jubilarians over their 25-year careers. The presentation was created highlighting the many milestones and the lasting legacy left by the honourees. Following the presentation, Rev. Dr. G.Theophil Anand, Vice – Principal, Shift -I, took the stage to felicitate the jubilarians, emphasizing their influence and the lives they’ve touched. The honourees were acknowledged for their hard work, time, energy, and knowledge, which created meaningful impacts on the institution and the people around them. Dr. T. Jeyabalan, Dean and Head of the Department of Chemistry, delivered a speech reflecting on his journey at Sacred Heart College. He spoke with heartfelt gratitude and shared his experiences with the audience. Mr. M. Francis Arockia Raj, an assistant at the college, was welcomed to share his thoughts, followed by Mr. U. Arulraj, the storekeeper, who also spoke about his 25-year journey and offered insights into his experiences.

The cultural aspect of the celebration included a mixtape of melodies organized by Dr. Makala Gandhi, followed by a traditional folk dance performance led by Dr. A. Sumathi, Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry.

The formal part of the celebration concluded with Dr. V. Collins Arun Prakash, PG Head of the Department of Chemistry, delivering the vote of thanks. He eloquently expressed collective gratitude towards the honourees and the organizers of the event. The celebration ended with the College Anthem, marking the closing of the event.
