The event titled "Let's Quit Plastic; Let's Take the Yellow Bag" was an important and impactful social awareness initiative organized jointly by Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Tirupattur and the Rotary Club of Tirupattur on 25th February 2025. The event aimed to raise awareness about eliminating plastic usage and promoting the use of yellow cloth bags.

Rotary District Governor Rtn. M. Rajanbabu graced the event as a special guest and delivered a lecture on the importance of using cloth bags instead of plastic. The Principal of Sacred Heart  College, Rev.Fr. D. Maria Antony Raj urged every student to take a pledge to stop using plastic. The event's welcome and keynote speeches were delivered by Rotary Club President Rtn. PHF G. Venkatesan.

Over 300 students from NSS, AICUF, and RRC Units of the college participated in the rally. They carried placards and spread awareness about plastic elimination, marching from the college to the new bus stand.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. G. Mohan Gandhi, National Service Scheme Program Officer. Several prominent figures, including K.C. Ezhilarasan, K.M. Subramaniam, Dr. Leela Subramaniam, and others, attended the event. Dr. U. Ramesh, Dr. Napoleon, Dr. Julian, and Mr. V. Madhan Kumar, also graced the occasion and made it a success.
