In observance of World Environment Day on 5th June 2025, the Youth for Social Responsibility (YSR), a dynamic student-led initiative of Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Tirupattur, organized a meaningful tree plantation drive in collaboration with Osai Trust and Exnora, two renowned environmental organizations. The event took place at Andiyappanur Government Higher Secondary School and Andiyappanur Primary Health Centre, where a total of 350 tree saplings were planted. The program aimed to foster ecological responsibility, promote sustainable green cover, and sensitize the government school students on environmental conservation.

The YSR student volunteers enthusiastically participated in the plantation activity, showing great dedication and teamwork. They worked diligently across both locations, carefully planting a diverse variety of saplings that were selected based on soil type and environmental suitability. Representatives from Osai Trust and Exnora guided the students and shared valuable insights on nurturing and maintaining the trees post-plantation. The event served not only as an act of service to nature but also as an educational experience for students reinforcing the importance of collective action in tackling climate change and environmental degradation.
