Department of Extension Education Services (DEEDS) at Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Tirupattur, under the leadership of Rev. Dr. D.Shanmugam, organized the Orientation and Inauguration of the Outreach Programme for II year UG and PG students of Shift-I on 3rd July 2025. The event was held at Kamarajar Arangam from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM, in alignment with the college calendar and outreach schedule. The programme commenced with a prayer song followed by an audio-visual presentation, setting the tone for the session. Mr. K. Selvanathan, Outreach Coordinator (Shift-I), delivered the welcome address and introduced the resource person. The inaugural address was given by Rev. Dr. D. Shanmugam, Director of DEEDS, who highlighted the objectives and vision of the outreach initiative.

This was followed by a felicitation address by Rev. Dr. Praveen Peter, SDB, Rector and Secretary of the college, and the presidential address by Rev. Dr. D. Maria Antony Raj, SDB, Principal of Sacred Heart College. The orientation session was led by Dr. T. Selvam, Assistant Professor in the PG & Research Department of Social Work, who provided insights into the outreach programme’s structure, goals, and expected outcomes. The session aimed to instill a sense of social responsibility and community engagement among students. Mrs. P. Amudhanila, Assistant Professor in the Department of Microbiology, delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all dignitaries, faculty, and students for their active participation. The event was anchored by Miss M. Preethi, Assistant Professor in the PG & Research Department of Social Work, who served as the Master of Ceremony.
