The Department of Physics hosted a special invited talk as a part of the Silver Jubilee Celebrations of the M.Sc. Physics Programme on 10^th July 2025 at Carreno Hall. The Chief Guest, Dr. S. Kadhiravan, Member–Syndicate, Dean–Social Sciences, and Senior Professor & Head, Department of Psychology, Periyar University, Salem addressed the students on the title "Personal Effectiveness for Professional Excellence" offered powerful insights into the evolving demands of the professional world and the mindset required to thrive in it. Dr. Kadhiravan began his address by highlighting the major forces shaping the current job market, such as automation, globalization, workplace changes, and personal challenges including post-pandemic realities. He emphasized the need for students to develop complete human potentials, emotional, intellectual, physical, social, and spiritual to meet these demands. The session was resonated well with both UG and PG students.
