Event Details

Sacred Heart College considers research an essential part of its academic mission. Each year, the institution offers three categories of research grants: the Don Bosco Research Grant (DBRG) (for faculty), the Fr. Carreno Research Grant (FCRG) (for Ph.D scholars), and the Sacred Heart Fellowship (SHF) (for second-year postgraduate students). In the current year, a total of 95 research proposals were received - 29 for DBRG, 19 for FCRG, and 47 for SHF. In addition, faculty members who received DBRG funding last year underwent a mid-term progress evaluation. All proposals were thoroughly reviewed by subject-specific external experts via Google Meet. Following evaluation, 12 DBRG awards, 7 FCRG awards, and 24 SHF awards amounting to ₹7,05,000, ₹1,90,000 ₹2,40,000, respectively, were granted this year. The mid-term DBRG evaluations from last year accounted for an additional ₹3,62,500. Altogether, the total research funding allocated for this academic year amounted to ₹14,97,500. The award letters were handed over to all the awardees on 18.08.2025 by Rev.Fr.D. Maria Antonyraj, Principal.
