The Department of English (Shift I), Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Tirupattur, organized a One-Day National Conference on “Digital Humanities and Literary Studies: Intersections and Innovations” on 26th August, 2025 at Mother Theresa Hall. The event was inaugurated in the presence of Prof. N. Arul Doss, Head, Department of English, faculty members, and distinguished participants. The inaugural address highlighted the need for integrating digital tools with literary studies to meet the demands of the evolving academic landscape. The conference featured two eminent scholars: Dr. Samuel Rufus, Associate Professor, Madras Christian College, Chennai, and Dr. L. Santhosh Kumar, Assistant Professor, Kristu Jayanti University, Bengaluru. Both resource persons delivered insightful lectures on the intersections of literature, culture, and digital innovation, while also engaging participants in discussions on new methodologies for research and pedagogy in the digital age. The academic sessions provided a dynamic platform for students, research scholars, and faculty members from Sacred Heart College as well as delegates from various other institutions across the region and beyond, to explore emerging perspectives in Digital Humanities. Paper presentations, interactive sessions, and deliberations enriched the conference, making it a significant academic milestone for the department. The day concluded with the Valedictory Session, where Rev. Fr. S. Henry Daniel Ambrose, SDB, Vice Principal, delivered the valedictory address, followed by the distribution of certificates. The Vote of Thanks was delivered by Mr. V.. Madhan Kumar, who expressed gratitude to the management, resource persons, delegates, and organizing committee for their support and contributions. The conference proved to be an inspiring and intellectually enriching experience, fostering collaboration and innovation at the intersection of literature and technology.
