The Parents Meeting for the II UG Students (Shift I) of Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Tirupattur, was conducted on 23rd August 2025 at Kamarajar Arangam. The programme commenced with a Prayer Song, invoking God’s blessings for the success of the gathering. Following this, Rev. Dr. Praveen Peter, SDB, Rector and Secretary, extended a warm and cordial welcome to the parents. In his address, he highlighted the significance of parents’ involvement in the academic and moral development of their children; also the importance of discipline and punctuality. He was proud about the past pupil of 1972 – 1975 batch who met recently and shared about how the college was their Alma Mater. A video presentation on the theme “On Drugs Awareness” was delivered by Dr. A. Prabhu, Assistant Professor, Department of Tamil. The session aimed at educating students and parents about the harmful effects of drugs and the need to safeguard young minds from such social evils.

Subsequently, Rev. Dr. D. Maria Antony Raj, SDB, Principal, gave instructions to the students. His message stressed the importance of discipline, values, and academic commitment. He also emphasized the role of students in upholding the reputation of the institution and becoming responsible citizens. Together with that he said students, parents and teachers should go hand in hand for the well being of the student. Also he insisted on the main role played by the parents in disciplining the ward. he also spoke enthusiastically about the Platinum Jubilee Year. The formal proceedings came to a close with the Vote of Thanks proposed by Dr. S. Kalaiarasi, Associate Professor, Department of Mathematics. She expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the dignitaries, faculty members, parents, and students for their presence and active participation.
