The Parents Meeting for the III UG Students (Shift-I) of Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Tirupattur, students was conducted on 30th August, 2025 at Kamarajar Arangam. The programme commenced with a Prayer Song, invoking God’s blessings for the success of the gathering. Following this, Dr. E. Sailaja, Department of Tamil, delivered the Welcome Address, extending warm greetings to the dignitaries, staff, students, and parents while highlighting the purpose of the meeting. A video presentation on the theme “On Drugs Awareness” was delivered by Dr. A. Prabhu, Assistant Professor, Department of Tamil. The session aimed at educating students and parents about the harmful effects of drugs and the need to safeguard young minds from such social evils. Subsequently, Dr. A. George Maria Selvam, Vice Principal Academics (Shift I), addressed the students. His message stressed the importance of discipline, values, and academic commitment. He also emphasized the role of students in upholding the reputation of the institution and becoming responsible citizens. He reminded the gathering that students, parents, and teachers must work hand in hand for the well-being of students, underlining the key role parents play in shaping discipline.

Rev. Dr. Praveen Peter, SDB, Rector and Secretary, then extended a warm and cordial welcome to the parents. In his address, he highlighted the significance of parents’ involvement in the academic and moral development of their children, as well as the importance of discipline and punctuality. He also proudly recalled the alumni of the 1972–1975 batches who had recently met and reminisced about their Alma Mater. The formal proceedings concluded with the Vote of Thanks proposed by Dr. A. Poongothai, Associate Professor, Department of Biochemistry. She expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the dignitaries, faculty members, parents, and students for their presence and active participation.
