Event Details

On August 25, 2025, the Youth Red Cross (YRC) Shift II, in collaboration with the Indian Red Cross Society, Tirupattur District Branch, organized a Tree Plantation Program aimed at promoting environmental awareness and encouraging sustainable practices. The students assembled at the college at 9:00 a.m., where attendance was taken, and then proceeded to the Collector’s Office, Tirupattur, which served as the venue for the plantation drive.

The program was conducted under the guidance of Dr. L. Anadaraj, President of YRC, and Ms. R. Edith Melody, Vice President of YRC, whose presence and encouragement inspired the students to participate with great enthusiasm. A total of fifty YRC volunteer students actively engaged in the drive, contributing their efforts to every stage of the activity. They prepared the soil, dug the pits, planted the saplings carefully, and watered them to ensure their healthy growth.

Altogether, fifty saplings were planted in and around the premises of the Collector’s Office, enhancing the greenery of the surroundings. The event created a strong spirit of teamwork, cooperation, and responsibility among the participants, as each member contributed wholeheartedly. More than just an act of plantation, the drive served as a reminder of the vital role young people play in conserving nature and reinforced the collective responsibility of protecting and nurturing the environment for future generations.
