The Media Forum Association (Shift – II) of Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Tirupattur organized a vibrant Flash Mob on the Swachh Bharat Mission – Clean India Campaign on 6th December 2025 from 3.55 p.m. to 4.10 p.m. The event was conducted on the college campus to create awareness on the importance of cleanliness, hygiene, and civic responsibility among students and the public.
The programme was organized under the esteemed guidance of the Rector & Secretary Rev. Dr. Praveen Peter, SDB, the Principal Rev. Dr. D. Maria Antony Raj, SDB, and the Additional Principal Rev. Dr. G. Theophil Anand, SDB, and Vice Principal (Admin) Rev. Dr. D. Samson Shanmugam, SDB. The event was coordinated by the Organizing Secretaries Mr. N. Madhavan, Assistant Professor, Department of Physics, and Dr. S. Rajeshwari, Assistant Professor, Department of English.
The flash mob comprised dance, music, symbolic visuals, and thematic performances, creatively expressing the message of maintaining cleanliness in classrooms, homes, streets, and the environment. Students highlighted the consequences of pollution and urged everyone to adopt environmentally responsible habits through visual displays, placards and artistic presentations.
The programme successfully drew the attention of the campus community, conveying that cleanliness is not the responsibility of a single person or government but a shared duty of every citizen. Students emphasized the need to avoid littering, reduce plastic usage, use dustbins properly, and maintain hygienic surroundings for a clean and healthy India.
The event received an overwhelming response from students and faculty members who actively participated and appreciated the initiative. The awareness created through the flash mob strongly aligned with the vision of the Swachh Bharat Mission, motivating the viewers to adopt long-term clean and green habits.
